Lloyd M. Fider is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. He graduated with a Bachelors in Arts Degree in Psychology from Stony Brook University, and a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from Fordham University.
Since finishing school, Lloyd has had the opportunity to work in different settings with different people, including working at the Bronx District Attorney’s Office with children who have witnessed and have been traumatized with domestic violence and abuse, families living and struggling with poverty in Red Hook, Brooklyn, adults struggling with mental health issues at a community health center on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, and non-custodial fathers in New York City who have a history of incarceration and working on re-engaging back in the lives of their children. He has also run a social support group for LGBTQ individuals, and has volunteered for the NYC LGBTQ Community Center and a children’s charity organization in the Philippines, where he was born and raised.
Lloyd’s goal is to provide his clients with a safe and comfortable environment to feel supported, heard, understood, and obtain the necessary coping skills to help them through their challenges and struggles.
