FPNY provides opportunities for licensed, pre-licensed therapists, and interns/ therapists in training within the communities we serve, as well as allies, to learn through direct service, individual and triadic supervision, and group learning.

We subscribe to a Multi-mentor model and maintain 4 areas of focus: self-care, documentation, supervision, and professional development housed within a trauma-informed, decolonizing & anti-oppressive framework.

The goals for every therapist in FPNY are to develop and grow clinical skills, use trauma-informed and intersectional conceptualizations in care of clients, and encourage initiative, self-efficacy and empowerment.
